Nashville, Tenn. (September 3, 2013) - Nobody says sorry quite as poetically as singer-songwriter, Derek Webb. 20 years since entering into the music scene and 10 since his first solo album comes Webb's newest project: I Was Wrong, I'm Sorry & I Love You. The album, out today, September 3, poses as a true follow-up and long-awaited sequel to Webb's solo debut, She Must And Shall Go Free. In addition to playing almost every instrument on I Was Wrong, I'm Sorry & I Love You, Webb joins a handful of elite artists who wrote, recorded and produced every song on his record.

Each Tuesday leading up to today's release date, Webb revealed lyric and acoustic performance videos on his site, showcasing tracks from the new record. The final video in the series - the album's insightful title track - premieres this morning on Paste Magazine, here. Adding to this week's release highlights, Webb will perform live on the nationally syndicated WGN Midday News on Friday, September 6.

Beginning September 26, Webb, armed with a few acoustic guitars, will embark on his multi-city 'The Apology Tour.' In true Derek Webb fashion, the tour's ticket sales are structured to accommodate all participants with three specially titled tiers - I WAS WRONG (Ticket/Name Your Own Price), I'M SORRY ($12 ticket, Reserved Section Seating, $1 donation to Blood:Water Mission) and I LOVE YOU ($20 ticket, Group Q&A discussion, Autographed Tour Poster, Reserved Section Seating, $1 Donation to Blood:Water Mission). Tickets for 'The Apology Tour' are available at: http://derekwebb.ticketleap.com/. For more specific details and a list of cities, visit www.DerekWebb.com.

"The songs are more personal. Musically, Webb is getting back to his roots…" - Relevant Magazine

"I Was Wrong, I'm Sorry & I Love You is a shedding of layers; a strip-down to the essence of what Webb has been trying to get at since he first picked up a guitar or sang a note." - Patheos

"The latest album from iconoclastic singer-songwriter Derek Webb is a strong step forward." - AbsolutePunk.net

"[I Was Wrong, I'm Sorry & I Love You] is part autobiography, part commentary, part confession, all tempered by an earnest humility that ties the conversation together." - NewReleaseTuesday.com

About Derek Webb
Derek Webb started his music career over 20 years ago as a founding member of the Texas-based folk/rock band Caedmon's Call. After 10 years, Derek left to pursue a solo career that quickly garnered him a reputation for being a provocative singer/songwriter, challenging the political and spiritual status quo. Webb's innovative ways have received coverage everywhere from Paste Magazine to USA Today and the Los Angeles Times. His record, The Ringing Bell was No. 27 on Paste Magazine's Top 100 albums of 2007, having received a coveted five-star review, and Derek was recently named one of Performing Songwriter magazine's 100 most influential independent artists of the past 15 years. Among his many accolades as a music pioneer, Derek is also the President and co-founder of the popular music site NoiseTrade.
